Energy Performance Certificate
What is the charge for certificate?
We can offer a Domestic Energy Assessment on your property resulting in the production of an Energy Performance Certificate.
The fee is £55, no vat and regardless of the size of your property. The assessment will be undertaken by a fully qualified Domestic
Energy Assessor who is accredited by the appropriate governing body.
What is an Energy Performance Certificate?
An Energy Performance Certificate will show you the official energy efficiency rating of your property. The certificate provides you with a
rating for the building, showing its energy efficiency and its environmental impact on a scale from A-G (where A is the most efficient and G
the least efficient), in graphical format. It also contains recommended ways to improve the building's energy performance.
Why do you need an Energy Performance Certificate?
Nearly 40 per cent of the UK's energy consumption arises from the way in which our 25 million buildings are lit, heated and used.
The Energy Performance Certificate is part of new measures being introduced by Communities and Local Government to improve property efficiency.
It will include suggestions to enable homeowners to improve the energy efficiency of the building. This can mean lower energy bills for the
occupiers, and could make homes more attractive to potential purchasers.
